This is seriously one of the best new fics I’ve read in a while (and my phone never fails to have like 5 tabs of Ao3 open at any one time). I don’t really even use my tumblr and I felt the need to share this.
Lengthy but damn good. Be prepared for the feels. My eyes have yet to recover from the crying.

I read The Hobbit and the rings trilogy at a relatively young age, so I wasn’t that into books as I am now. But, why did I. not. know. that Tolkien had other books out worth reading? Every time I stop by a half price or other bookstore, I only see the middle earth novels…
